Viikko edennyt tosi nopeesti töitä tehdessä, mutta vikalle viikolle mennään ilosella mielellä kun kaikkea kivaa näille viimeisille päiville suunniteltu, esim ollaan menossa muutamaan musiikki tapahtumaan jotka Roope löysi netistä:)!   Viikonloppuna kävimme Etretassa katselemassa kauniita maisemia sekä nautittiin lämpimästä säästä drinksujen merkeissä!

Typical Work Days by Roope

Senegalian food (costs 8e) i got from a food pop up downtown during a friday market where people put up stands and sell things (basically like "tori"), the walk way gets filled with people and stands and they are there only maybe till noon. The person i bought it from could speak good english and happened to ask me where im from and after telling him he said he had actually been to Finland multiple times to host his Senegal food pop ups, he even knew the word "tapahtuma" and pronounced city names very well for a foreigner and that was really cool. I work in an atelier called L'atelier de la matiére.  Their Instagram Its a fashion workshop and a community located in Val Soleil, Le Havre. It was formerly a community center mainly for children to visit, the city wanted to build some big building on it but my employer and the team decided to take it under their wing. I work usually from 10-18 (sometimes spending half of the day at the school Lycee Jules Le Cesne), m

Nothing is forever, except the memories we carry Its a sunday noon. We have this jazz radio channel on our TV that i like to put on just playing in the background while im home, its just really homely to me for some reason and as a musician i really love listening to these songs that arent curated to me plus my phone doesnt just starts playing jazz songs when i turn it on haha. I have been learning a bit of french along the way, met lots of people, some who also speak english. We even went to Paris yesterday and walked what felt like the distance around the sun, for me atleast. The bikes were really fun to get around the city with some looking and waving to get around cars of course. We saw the Eiffel Tower and took those fun tourist pictures with our jaws practically on the ground from awe. We ate some lunch, i had a tuna pizza, and Marikki had a chicken salad. Bought some clothes at second hand stores. Also next to a public bathroom which i "got to" experience we encounte

Our Apartment : The f irst week has been welcoming, thanks to all the english speaking people we've met and that have helped us tremendously. The fast paced street we live on has helped us to take it slow, the community here on Aristide Briand street cant be compared to anything weve seen before. Its so vibrant. Very unique. Traveling and living here with another person from Finland is really important in making it feel like home, especially since most people dont even speak english. Having the comfort we do, we are even more likely to try to learn the language, we dont shut ourselves off from everybody, were comfortable enough to try and thats a huge thing for us.
